Scope of work

The Prosthodontics Department aims to treat and handle dental and facial problems that involve restoring missing tooth and jaw structures. Common prosthodontic treatments include dentures, dental implants, crowns and bridges.

The Prosthodontics Department provides the following treatment but not limited to:

  • Patients’ consultation 
  • Provide general oral evaluation.
  • Provide specific prosthodontic evaluation: inclusive of medical and dental history.
  • Clinical examination of occlusion, teeth, and teeth supporting structure (Periodontium)
  • Identification of risk factors, diagnosis and treatment plan with specific consideration to mastication, speech, and aesthetic and its impact on the patient well-being.
  • Prevention of Oral diseases
  •  Interim prosthesis in preparation for complete mouth rehabilitation analysis and treatment.
  • Complex crown and bridgework
  • Manage oral infections by utilizing antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal medicaments.
  • Evaluate TMJ and head and neck tissues. Diagnose TMJ dysfunctions and manage them by collaborating with other dental specialists as per the case need.
  • Dental implant restorations.
  • Repair of implant-supported prosthesis
  • Evaluate geriatric patients requiring prosthetic considering their oral-dental needs and its impact on their nutrition and quality of life.
  • Interpret intraoral and extraoral diagnostic images, including Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) as they relate to occlusion and dental implant therapy.
