 Extensive Experience in Psychiatry and Mental Health Care

He has considerable experience in the diagnosis and treatment of various psychiatric disorders, with more than 27 years of professional experience gained through his practice in both Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

His clinical expertise includes the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric and behavioral disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, sleep disorders, anxiety and stress, psychosis, and others.

Dr. Mohamed is experienced in diagnosing psychiatric disorders in adults as well as children and adolescents.

He has worked in hospitals, specialized clinics, and corporate healthcare centers, combining clinical care with patient education, psychotherapy, and appropriate intervention in critical cases.

Since May 2022, Dr. Mohamed has also provided his services within the Medical Services Department of Abu Dhabi Police. This experience has further strengthened his expertise in occupational psychiatry, particularly in high-stress professions such as police, military, and aviation. His responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, using established diagnostic frameworks such as ICD-11 and DSM-5, assessing children and adolescents, and providing psychological therapeutic interventions when required.

Previously, he worked at Kids Heart Medical Center in Abu Dhabi from June 2018 to May 2022 and at Universal Hospital in Abu Dhabi from September 2013 to May 2018. At Universal Hospital, he managed specialized clinics focused on stress and mood disorders. He also contributed to community awareness initiatives by delivering lectures and writing articles on healthy lifestyles.

His professional experience also includes practicing specialized psychiatry at Noora Poly Clinic in Dubai, where he provided services related to stress management and the treatment of sleep disorders.

Earlier in his career in Pakistan, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Fatima Jinnah Medical College in Lahore and as an Assistant Professor at University College of Medicine and Dentistry in Faisalabad.

He also held positions as a physician and medical resident at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, the Regional Headquarters Hospital in Faisalabad, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital, and Mayo Hospital in Lahore. His clinical responsibilities included conducting psychiatric assessments, developing treatment plans, counseling patients, and teaching medical students.

Dr. Mohamed has participated in mental health research, academic presentations, and professional conferences. His stated clinical interests and skills include the management of anxiety and stress, sleep disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and psychoeducation. He has also contributed to psychiatric education and community awareness initiatives.
